Tis the Season
Tis the season for gift giving and needing a bunch of cute, unique, gifts and stocking stuffers for a ton of people on your “nice” list. Personalized pens are a perfect solution! They are simple, stylish and unique. They don’t take up much space, and everybody can always use another pen. Even the people who “have everything” will appreciate this gift. Especially when you invest your own creativity and thoughtfulness to customize the pen just for them. This is an easy, inexpensive DIY. The best part is you can whip up a bunch of these quick so they are perfect to have on hand as “last minute” gifts.
Lots of Variety
You can personalize these pens so many different ways! You can focus on a favorite color, or interest like a sports team. Of course it doesn’t get any more personal than adding their name. You can take them to the laser and actually etch their name on the barrel or use your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine and some vinyl. Don’t worry if you don’t have a laser or cutting machine. I’ve got you covered with yet a THIRD way to personalize some pretty pens!
Here’s the not so clever, but uber obligatory affiliate post notification so me and my cats don’t go hungry. (Kidding, my hubby won’t let any of us starve- Lol.) This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience (which means if you make a purchase after clicking a link I will earn a small commission but it won’t cost you a penny more)! Read my full privacy and disclosure policy here.
That’s How “Eye” Roll
Now before you go all “eye roll” and say, “Is she serious? Who just happens to have a laser laying around?” You might be surprised to find that a few JoAnn’s stores across the country have Glowforge Laser Printers that you can use in store. You pay to rent time. Also, many communities have maker’s labs with access to all kinds of neat crafting tools like 3D printers, lasers, CNC’s, etc. Google, of course, will help you find the closest one in your area if there is one.
Christmas Wish List
If not you should seriously consider telling Santa this machine needs to be on the top of your own wish list! If you’re a crafter you could easily earn back your investment in under a year if you are dedicated. Not to mention all the money you could save by making your own amazing, unforgettable, one of a kind gifts, to give friends and family. My Link will save you $500 off a Pro, $250 off a Plus, or $100 off a Basic and earn me a small commission without costing you a penny more! Click here to save $$$ (I own a Plus personally and could not be any happier!)
Gift Giving Simplified
Ok, back to the pens. These pens are the perfect go to gift for when you just need a little something extra or don’t want to show up completely empty handed. Think co-workers, church friends, people you volunteer with, or hang out with at your child’s school, or athletic events. They can be a small, stand alone gift, or given with a journal, or a couple of cute notepads, or even a small gift card.
A Few More Ideas
Need a cute package topper? What about wedding or baby shower favors or prizes? Just leave the personalization off if you’re using them as prizes.
What about hosting a make your own pen party? If you are ever put in charge of an event where you need a “make & take” this would produce the rewarding results you are looking for. Read here for another cute, quick project for a “make & take”. This project is practically goof-proof! How about making these at a tween sleepover? Um, yes, please!
How fun would it be to make one for every holiday???
